Gambling Harms Support

We are committed to supporting our patients who may be affected by gambling-related harm.

Gambling can affect anyone and, for some people, can have a significant impact on their mental health, physical health, relationships, work and finances. Gambling-related harm can also affect family members and those close to someone who gambles.

As a Gambling Harms Accredited Practice, we aim to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where patients can talk openly about gambling and its impact on their health and wellbeing.

How can we help?

Our practice team can:

  • Listen and provide support if gambling is affecting your health or wellbeing.
  • Help you recognise when gambling may be becoming harmful.
  • Discuss the impact gambling may be having on your mental health, relationships, sleep or finances.
  • Provide information about appropriate specialist support and treatment.
  • Support family members or others who may be affected by someone else’s gambling.

You don’t have to deal with it alone

If you are worried about your own gambling, or the gambling of someone close to you, please speak to a member of our practice team.

You will be listened to without judgement. You do not need to wait until gambling has caused a serious problem before asking for help.

If you would prefer to access support outside the practice, we can also signpost you to specialist gambling support services.

Taking the first step

Talking about gambling can feel difficult, particularly if you are worried about being judged. Our team is here to help and your conversation with us will be treated with the same confidentiality as any other aspect of your healthcare.

If gambling is affecting you or someone you care about, please talk to us.
