DeStress2

The study is named Implementing effective primary care responses to mental distress (DeStress-2 study).

The study aims to understand how patient mental distress caused by factors such as social isolation, poor quality housing, low pay and unemployment are being responded to within primary care/General Practice and how patients feel about current consultation practice.

The clinical team at the Practice attended a training session with the DeStress2 study team, they were advised to use the techniques and information learnt in the training in general practice.

After they have used the techniques learnt in the training session, clinicians are asked to contact patients to ask for their view on their appointment. This feedback is sent directly to the DeStress2 research team.
