Flu Vaccinations

Eligibility:

You are eligible for flu vaccinations if you;

• are aged 65 or over
• have certain long-term health conditions
• are pregnant
• live in a care home
• are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
• live with someone who has a weakened immune system

Children aged 2 or 3 on the 31st August 2024 are also eligible for a flu vaccination, along with school aged children between Reception – Year 11. Flu vaccinations for children are given as a painless nasal spray.

Booking an appointment:

We will be sending a text message to all eligible patients with a direct link to book an appointment, you are also able to call the Surgery at any time to book an appointment.

The Practice relies on the income we receive from flu vaccinations, and we ask if possible for the patients who would like a vaccination for them to chose the Surgery as the place they receive them.
