STREAM (Eat well, feel well, stay well) is a study that looks at appetite, eating patters and nutrition in people aged 75 and above
If you decide to take part the study team will send you some questions to answer (between 2 to 4 times) between now and the end of the study at 18 months. The questions will take about 30 minutes to answer each time.
Am I the right person to take part?
STREAM are interested in hearing from people with a range of different appetite and eating patterns. Some people can feel they are too unwell, too busy, do not have enough energy or might even think they do not have anything useful to say. Don’t worry we would still like to hear from you, the study team are on hand to help make things as easy as possible.
The study team can arrange for someone to help you over the phone, at a time that suits you. Any information you are able to share will be very useful. You can also stop taking part at any time.
Your answers will help the study team to test tools that can better help your doctor’s surgery to support the health needs of people aged 75 and above.
What else will happen?
Some people may also be invited to speak with a nurse by phone or at the doctor’s surgery (if possible). After the first appointment, you may be offered a few further brief follow-up appointments.
There are also optional extra parts to the study, if you are interested (see leaflet for details). Don’t worry if you don’t want to do these things – you can still be included.
