First Contact Physiotherapy

If you have a problem affecting your muscles, joints or bones, you may not need to see a GP first.

You can book an appointment directly through our Reception Team to see Kevin, our First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP).

A First Contact Physiotherapist is specially trained to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, including problems affecting the back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, muscles and joints.

Kevin can:

• assess your symptoms and provide a diagnosis
• offer advice on managing your condition
• recommend exercises or treatment
• arrange appropriate investigations, such as X-rays, where clinically appropriate
• refer you to specialist services if required.

Booking directly with our First Contact Physiotherapist can often help you receive the right treatment more quickly, without needing to see a GP first.
