How to book an appointment:

Pre-bookable appointments 

Pre-bookable appointments are appointments that can be booked in advance. We offer pre-bookable appointments with our GP’s, ANP, Nurses, Pharmacists and Health Care Assistants. These appointments can be booked by:

• NHS App / online services– This is the quickest way to book an appointment as you do not need to call the Surgery and can choose a suitable appointment time for you! If you do not have the NHS APP or cannot download it, you can register for online services by asking Reception to set up an account for you. This way you can still book appointments online too. • PATCHS – PATCHS is for routine appointment requests only, please complete a form by clicking here. You will firstly need to create an account and you will then be asked some questions about your condition. Once this is received we will contact you within 24 hours to answer your query, arrange a routine appointment, or direct you to another NHS service such as a walk in centre or pharmacy. If you contact us with an urgent problem then you will be asked to call the surgery directly or be directed to a walk-in centre/A&E to ensure you are treated on the same day 

• Telephone – by calling either Surgery (Fearnhead Cross 01925 847000, Longford Street 01925 255600 and pressing option 1 to speak to a patient advisor)
• Face to Face – by speaking to Reception at the Surgery

Urgent / on the day appointments:

• Telephone the practice – If you feel that you need an urgent appointment then please call the practice to arrange this. Appointment requests can be taken from 8.30am, our trained patient advisors will ask for a brief reason for the appointment and then arrange an appointment or direct you to the most appropriate place ensuring an option is provided for you to be seen. This may be an appointment at the practice with a GP, advanced nurse practitioner, practice nurse, pharmacist or at our in-house minor ailments clinics. You may be asked to attend another local service if it is something that can be dealt with there, there is now a ‘pharmacy first’ service that means you can be seen for certain conditions at your local pharmacy and they can also issue a prescription if necessary so if you are eligible for this then we will do a referral for a same day appointment. We also have paramedic appointments available either at our practice or at another local practice so if you are eligible you will be asked to attend this clinic to ensure you are seen on the same day, paramedics can prescribe for a wide range of conditions. If we do not have any further appointments that are suitable for your condition then you may be asked to attend a local walk-in centre, call 111 or attend A&E in an emergency. 

Appointments are available Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 6pm with Extended Access clinics running on a Tuesday & Thursday from 6.30pm – 8pm.
