Covid 19

We will regularly update this post with any new changes or information we want to share with you regarding Covid 19 and how it may change our services.

FROM MONDAY 15TH JUNE ALL PATIENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING AND WEAR THEIR OWN FACE COVERING WHEN ATTENDING THE SURGERY, THIS DOES NOT NEED TO BE A MEDICAL STANDARD MASK. THIS WILL BE COMPULSORY BEFORE ENTERING THE BUILDING.

Prescriptions can be ordered via online access, e-consult or email using our generic email address warccg.fearnheadcrossmc@nhs.net, prescriptions can also be posted in the letter box outside either Surgery.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus. Our practice is open and if you need to see your GP, please ring us on 01925 847000 or visit our website and use eConsult – our opening ours are 8.30-6.00 every day (8.00-8.30 and 6.00-6.30 for emergencies only)

You can also call NHS 111. Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment.

Face-to-face appointments are available to all patients, but you will be asked to discuss your conditions over the phone or online first to assess what would be most appropriate for you

In addition to face-to-face consultations, we are offering consultations online or over the phone. This can be a convenient and flexible way to receive healthcare but if you would prefer to see a GP or healthcare professional in person then this can be arranged for you.

If you are waiting for a check-up, please be assured we will be in touch Appointments are being delivered face-to-face, online and over the telephone. If you are asked to come into the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery. On arrival we will take your temperature and you will be advised of where to sit whilst you wait for your appointment. Our waiting room is socially distanced to keep all staff and patients safe. There is an intercom system at both buildings that you will need to ring on arrival, a patient advisor will then speak to you through this before bringing you into the building. Please only press the bell once otherwise we will not be able to hear you.

Please be patient with our staff who are working hard at this time to still give you the service that you need, but who like you, are scared and worried and have families they are trying to protect at home. VERBAL ABUSE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
