Information regarding Novel Coronavirus
Covid 19
We will regularly update this post with any new changes or information we want to share with you regarding Covid 19 and how it may change our services.
*Please do not attend the Surgery unless you have an appointment*
Face masks
It is compulsory that all patients are required to bring and wear a face mask when attending the Surgery. Your mask does not need to be a medical standard mask.
Prescriptions
Prescriptions can be ordered via online access, e-consult or email using our generic email address warccg.fearnheadcrossmc@nhs.net, prescriptions can also be posted in the letter box outside either Surgery.
Appointments
Face-to-face appointments are available to all patients, but you will be asked to discuss your conditions over the phone or online first to assess what would be most appropriate for you
In addition to face-to-face consultations, we are offering consultations online or over the phone. This can be a convenient and flexible way to receive healthcare but if you would prefer to see a GP or healthcare professional in person then this can be arranged for you.
The Process of attending for a face to face appointment
There is an intercom system at both buildings that you will need to ring on arrival, a patient advisor will then speak to you through this before bringing you into the building – please only press the bell once otherwise we will not be able to hear you.
- Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery.
- On arrival we will take your temperature and you will be advised of where to sit whilst you wait for your appointment.
- Our waiting room is socially distanced to keep all staff and patients safe.
Please be patient with our staff who are working hard at this time to still give you the service that you need, but who like you, are scared and worried and have families they are trying to protect at home.
Verbal abuse is not acceptable
Opening times
Our opening ours are 8.30-6.00 Monday – Friday (8.00-8.30 and 6.00-6.30 for emergencies only)
